creamytitbits asked: Hello dear,
Love your blog! I must ask, what is your favourite period from fashion history (up to the 1890s?)
I love the late 1840s Western European women's dress, I find them so haunting. :s
again, awesome blog!
I have a few favourite periods.
I love 1830’s fashion, along with that I also love 1770’s. Both periods are very different from each other, but I love the grandeur and decadence of the French court of 1770’s and the elegant craftsmanship of the 1830’s, especially in the Imperial Russian Court.

I have seen all, I have heard all, I have forgotten all.
The queen’s hand rests on a globe below the crown of England, her fingers covering the Americas, indicating England’s dominion of the seas and plans for imperialist expansion in the New World.
The Queen is flanked by two columns behind, probably a reference to the famous crest of the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V, Philip’s father, which represented the pillars of Hercules.
